Early Spring Style in Georgetown

Style

Last Saturday I had the pleasure of meeting up with some blogger friends for my first visit to the cute neighborhood of Georgetown.  I connected with Jessica from Emily in the Middle through Instagram, and Carla is an amazing instructor at Pure Barre who is starting a wellness blog! We grabbed breakfast at Simit + Smith (it was ok, probably would not recommend if you aren’t a sandwich person), and then walked around snapping some style photos. The main “M” street is lined with stores, but the side streets have the cutest pastel colored houses. I loved hanging out with these ladies (and met another new friend Maddie, through Carla!) and am so thankful for the connections that this blogging community has already given me. Keep reading for the details on what I wore!

blouse ($10, wearing a size small) / green field jacket / boots (size up half size) / jeans (similar) / bag (similar, another option here)

This outfit is basically my early spring uniform. I just love the delicate lace cutouts and gathered sleeves on this blouse! The fabric and craftsmanship is very good quality. Can you believe it’s only $10?? I’m wearing a small. I love finding pretty pieces like this in unexpected places. It’s still chilly (ok, it was very chilly, I took off my wool coat to take these photos) so I threw on my favorite green field jacket. These boots are a new addition to my wardrobe by way of Amazon (keep checking the prices on different sizes, I got mine at a great price point in my size). They have a pretty high heel and do fit snug on the feet. The reviews say to size up, I’m usually a 5.5-6 and these are a 6. They are fairly comfortable for how high the heel is, and I just love the pointed toe and black paneling on the side – makes them so flattering and versatile!

What are your go-to early spring outfits? Thank you so much for reading! x
