How to style a leopard skirt

If you follow me on instagram, you’ll know that I’m completely head over heels in love with leopard this fall! I just love the visual interest that the pattern adds to an outfit, and I believe that LOFT has outdone themselves with the best leopard prints this season. As soon as I saw this leopard skirt I knew I had to have it both for work and for play! There is something so feminine and elevated about this leopard jacquard fabric, and I love that the silhouette of the skirt is tailored but not too tight or short. Here, I’ve styled it up for work with a cream blouse and my staple black Caryn cardigan from J.Crew.

Sidenote, these Caryn cardigans are the absolute best – I have both black and camel and I love that they are fairly thin, but super warm because of the merino wool content. The gold buttons are so tasteful and beautiful and lend a little extra something to every outfit. My tights are actually a dark grey herringbone, which adds just another layer of texture to this outfit. Black booties and my new favorite satchel bag finish off the perfect look for work or even for a dressier occasion like Thanksgiving!

As a bonus outfit, I’ve also shown how this skirt would look paired with a form-fitting black top, which takes this skirt straight from day to night! I also switched up the booties from black suede to these new black leather booties I just got from Naturalizer. I think the black leather really makes this look perfect for date night or a fun event! x
